Estepona is a little quieter than some other resort towns such as Malaga, Marbella and Torremolinos. Whilst there has been a good deal of tourist development in terms of sea-front amenities and hotels, the town - and most of the Western end of the Costa del Sol has managed to retain a lot more of a traditional Spanish feel than much of the high-rise, tightly packed others along this coastline.
