ANOTHER TANGO IN PARIS

On the left bank of the Seine at Quai Saint-Bernard there is a small park named after the Corsican singer and movie star Tino Rossi. It's between the Sully and Austerlitz bridges and it's become enormously popular as an impromptu dance venue from mid-afternoon into the early evening.

If the weather is good, tango enthusiasts (advanced and never-before-danced) gather at the mini amphitheatres along the Seine in the 5th arrondissement, to dance seductively until twilight. Even if you don’t want to join in, sitting with a bottle of wine on the steps, watching the dancers is absolutely mesmerizing. I've tried to capture the atmosphere, the spirit and the passion that these dancers have for their Tango.
